This updated version of the Runabout design utilised in the Danube-class was initially developed alongside the Tiberius-class starship as part of Project Archangel. Since its inception it has proved itself of great use and an improvement on its predacessor. Construction continues apace and they are becoming more commonly stationed where the Daunube-class would have beforehand. An estimate of ten years is given until the Danube-class is entirely phased out.
