SB TRINITY CORE: SPECIFICATIONS Starbase Trinity Core is composed of three, seperate and independant, modules located in the Trinity Sector on the border of Federation space. Each is a Type-CC starbase, constructed on the same basis Starbase 74, large enough to cope with most Federation starships, Galaxy, Sovereign and Tiberius classes included, with external ports and a massive internal dock to cope with the sheer amount of traffic that often passes through the system. Cutting edge technology enables staff there to attend to a large variety of engineering situations, whilst providing more than adequate defence systems to protect vessels under her jurisdiction. Of the three modules, only one of them is fitted to deal with general day-to-day systems, operations, a promenade, civilian amenities, and so on. This module is run by the Commanding Officer. The second module is outifitted as an extended dock and repair facility, with the third dedicated to offensive and defensive systems, and also houses officers of Flag Rank, being the most protected module of the three. The three stations are nicknamed in relation to the "Holy Trinity", with the first module called "Father", the second "Son" and the third known as "Ghost". This facility is also home to a permanent support vessel, the Chennault-class starship, USS Patriot. As well as adding to the considerable defensive capabilities of Trinity Core, the USS Patriot enables the crewmembers serving on the Starbase to embark on missions which require them to venture out past the borders of the Trinity System. The entire Starbase herself acts as a "front door" to the actual ShipYard Facilities which are situated in another region of the Trinity System, in orbit of Trinity Prime, a Class-J gas giant. The ShipYards are comprised of a multitude of dry docks and orbital rigs, varying in size and design. Here, ships are assembled, undergo refitting and major repair works, staying for days, weeks or even months. Longer term projects are constantly ongoing, including ship design and experimental systems.
