Ok I'm just gonna say it upfront - for those who don't know Major Derlin is also Clif Claven from Cheers (aka John Ratzenburger) For this custom I just repainted a Hoth Luke and andded a mustache. I was about ot do a vintage version of Derlin since I had an extra Hoth Commander figure, but I realized that thats who i think they modeled the figure as way back in the 80s. He wouldn't have been called "Major Derlin" back then since (believe it or not) not every single extra in the movies had a name.
