Another figure brought to you by the Star Wars DVD. My R3-A2 figure is yellow, which is how I thought the figure was supposed to look. When Hasbro released thiers is was orange. I went back and checked and found that yes, R3-A2 is indeed orange, but my ref pics had him as yellow. Finally when watching the DVD I noticed that there was a yellow R3 unit who had identical markings from the back, but who was different in the front.
Hm, I suddenly seem to be having one of those "I can't believe I
put that much thought into this" moments :)
UPDATED - I've had a site visitor send me a bunch of great astromech info, including that this figure is sitting right in the background of a Riekkan publicity shot that I've seen a thousand times! I repainted his legs grey to make him more accurate.
