Yep, this is in the movie. I noticed that flying in the traffic of Courscant was a yellow taxi, which is obviously a reference to taxis of modern day. I did a two tone repaint - yellow paint on the dark part, and yellow sharpie on the light part. Then I made the stripes black. You can only see the taxi from the back, so I don't know what color the model had, but since it's an allusion to checkered cabs, I made em black. Then I made the engines light blue, and that was that. After recently watching Return of the Jedi: The Special Edition I noticed that during the Coruscant celebration at the end that a yellow Taxi is featured quite prominantly. It flies in front of the screen for most of the scene, and does indeed have black stripes :)
UPDATED - I've noticed that this taxi is also in The Phantom Menace during the Sith balcony scene, and it also in the Mystery trailer for Attack of the Clones
