The only real costume change between the 2nd and 3rd seasons of DS9 were the insignia changes. I hadn't actually planned on doing the DS9 crew with such a minor change, but if the extra parts came along I decided to make them. So far it's happened to 3 of the 4. I'm only missing Bashir at the moment, but I have an extra head of his, and I still need the head of Voyager's Doctor for another custom, so he should be joining the crew soon.
