I wanted to do a pod-seperating version of the Surak, but since up until now, my Star Trek customs were from my very early days, and I wasn't sure how to do it correctly. The correct way was just using a very fine blade, and ot move as slowly as possible to get a clean cut. I then painted the exposed edges with paint that I knew would dry tacky, so now the pod sticks to the warp sled.
