Oh I thought I was so brilliant for this one! This custom has been mucking around in my head for a long time. I got the idea back in early 2000, when I really started making a lot of customs. Zaarin is a seldom seen custom, and I figured a Thrawn repaint would be perfect for it. The only problem was that Thrawns are usually expensive, and I had a crappy fleshtone color, and I always wind up with "bootleg eyes" when I try to make eyes. If I was gonna pay a lot, I didn't want to screw it up. He's dropped on and off my to do list for a while, and at one point was going to be my first digital custom. I used photoshop to alter the pic from the Hasbro site, but then I lost the file. Luckily I found a loose Thrawn on Ebay, and bid $5. Not only did I win, but I had the option of buying three more for 75% of the winning bid. I bought all four, and then traded two for two more figures (which then turned into three) - thank you BigWookieman! My best Ebay experiance to date.
UPDATED - Eight years later I finally found my first (and only) virtual custom. They actually wound up looking pretty similar don't ou think?
