A reptilian Trandoshan with a deep-rooted racial hatred for Wookiees, Bossk has spent years hunting down Chewbacca. When Darth Vader placed a substantial reward for the capture of the crew of the Millennium Falcon, Bossk answered the call with an eye for capturing Chewie. Trandoshans have a long history of enslaving Wookiees and skinning them for their pelts.
When younger, Bossk could regenerate severed limbs, but he has since lost this ability with age. Bossk carries a Relby v-10 mortar gun, and travels in a modified light freighter called the Hound's Tooth.
The original script called for Bossk to be a "slimy, tentacled monster with two huge, bloodshot eyes in a soft baggy face." His final design featured a flight suit that can be glimpsed in A New Hope's cantina sequence.
