Ki-Adi-Mundi

Taught by Jedi Master Yoda himself, Ki-Adi-Mundi is the only Jedi Knight to serve on the council. This humanoid from the utopian world of Cerea possesses a high-domed head holding a complex binary brain supported by a second heart. Before the Battle of Naboo, he became embroiled in a political struggle on Cerea, which lead him to Tatooine where he uncovered signs of the Trade Federation's clandestine war preparations.

Design of this powerful and intriguing Jedi Knight actually began with an artistic reinterpretation of the elder Obi-Wan Kenobi character. Concept artist Iain McCaig then added the bizarre touch of whale-like characteristics, which resulted in an all-new, unique individual within the Jedi Order.
