RIT - 01Y-01S-03W-02D
Mood: down Now Playing: Emotions [2002] - Trance[]Control I hate my writing seminar :| I got a C+ on my first essay, I got a 73 on the first quiz, and I have to type another essay in class on thursday. I do not like that class at all. On a brighter note, my other classes still suck, but not nearly so bad. I also am broke and need to do laundry. My 8am chemistry class is also getting old fast. But whatever, I still have fridays off. Monday, September 5, 2005
RIT - 01Y-01S-02W-01D
Mood: hungry Now Playing: Spitting Games - Snow Patrol Well, today was the first day of classes. I had gen/analytic chem at 8am :) Its a letcure class of 240 students woooo. After that i am on break till noon when i have intro to bio. After bio ends at one, i have break till two. At two I had chem lab. It was short class, though its supposed to be three hours long. I just merely checked my lab equiptment and left. I end my day at 5 and then I just chilled in the dorms. I played a whole mess of quake3 and cs then I read about a good 20 pages in my chemistry text. After that I walked around the floor to talk to the people a bit. Not too bad :\ though my labs are going to be scary. 3 hours each :C and I have to work on each lab project for about 4 weeks a piece, scary shit. Sunday, September 4, 2005
RIT - Day 007
Mood: on fire Now Playing: Cyclone - Dub Pistols Well, I arrived at Syracuse around 4 something yesterday. I met Stef infront of the big white building with black tiles at Syracuse. She walked me up the stairs to her dorm where I met alot of her friends. After, we went to a chinese restaurant just outside of the school. She had the triple delight and I had spicy tea chicken. Good stuff. We then went and got ice cream. After that, she showed me around her architecture building and part of the campus. After that, we went and watched gilmore girls and tv until about 1am. Then i went to bed :) I woke up this morning with my baby next to me. Great feeling :-* At about 1:45 I had to go to catch a bus to downtown Syracuse. I got on the 3pm train to Rochester and it was very quiet. I even slept. But yeah, good two days. Thank you Stefanie Saturday, September 3, 2005
RIT - Day 006
Mood: a-ok Now Playing: The One I Need - Lange Today we had a seminar about the deaf students at RIT. It was very interesting. I got a sign sheet and I taught myself on the way to visiting Stef at Syracuse. The train ride was not too bad, though I almost missed the train. I caught it as soon as the door closed. I didnt have to pay for a ticket though :) There was this nuts lady on the train that trapped every new person and asked them favors. I had to buy her a soda, water, and pour the soda. As well as throw out her garbage, clean the tray table, and keep track of time so she could take her meds. Strange :\ Friday, September 2, 2005
RIT - Day 005
Mood: energetic Now Playing: Don't Think It, Feel It - Lange Today I pretty much chilled in the dorm. I played alot of quake3 with Todd and he played his guitar. Hes sick at it :\ plays hendrix like its nothing. Very impressive. Thursday, September 1, 2005
RIT - Day 004
Mood: d'oh Now Playing: Grazed Knees - Snow Patrol Tonight Andres was smashed and brought Rachel over. So i chilled with Todd, Tim, Jake in the lounge till about 4 in the morning. We fucked with andres trying to wake him up but it never happened. Then we sat playing on Tims xbox. I saw the sun rise, pretty sweet. After that we went to the gym then to breakfast. There were some orientation stuff but I cant remember any of it. Oh well Wednesday, August 31, 2005
RIT - Day 003
Mood: caffeinated Now Playing: Chocolate - Snow Patrol Today was pretty sweet. It started in a way only I could managed. I almost missed our OA group trip to the Monroe Park Ponds. :) I was supposed to be with the group at 11:30, but I woke up at 11:40 haha. My OA called and waited for me. So yeah, good start. We went there and we split ourselves up into groups based on activities. I chose GPS and Medicinal Plants. In GPS, we took GPS units and walked around trying to figure out what the waypoints were. It was pretty cool. In medicinal plants, a professor walked around in the woods with us and stopped to show us some key plants. I learned that sassafrass root was shown to cause cancer, some weed thing gives off metyhl salicyclate and that blueberries help hypoglycemics becasue of some chemical in them. Also that poison ivy helps arthritis pain. Go figure :\ After that, I got back to my dorm and ate dinner with my floormates. When we got back in, we had a floor meeting. After the meeting,we chilled in the rooms until the fire alarm went off. Twice. And we stood in the rain for like 20 minutes. Pretty damn funny, cause that guy got fined haaard. Second Day at RIT
Mood: not sure Now Playing: Ways And Means - Snow Patrol Well, today we had alot of orientation stuff. We had the convocation ceremony in the morning and it was pretty cool. My favorite speaker was Dr. Frederick. Afterwards, we went and had a symposium with our department heads. After that, I had lunch at the SAU and went to the dorm. My parents stopped by and dropped off some food and cleaning supplies for me. AFter that, we did some activities with our OA groups. I talked and met the peoeple in my group, and they are actually pretty cool. We did some name-game stuff and 12 questions. After that, I went to my room. I talked to Tim and Jake, the kids across the hall, and I learned that they are pretty awesome. I also talked to Andres for a while. I am starting to get a little more comfortable here. Finally.

First Day at RIT
Mood: down Now Playing: The Invisible - Geezer Well, today I moved in at 8am, sorta. I started around 8:45 (I lost all my move in information, so I had to go find it with the help of RAs) and finished toward 11:45 or so. After that, we went to orientation which was set up in the gym. There were 12 stations we had to go through to complete the process. After all of that which took like 3 hours, we went to get my books. I bought a pretty big chem book (500+ pages), Listening to Earth (200 pages), Natural World (maybe 100 pages), and a monster bio book. Its like 900+ pages with a 600+ page workbook. Monster thing. It weighs like 15 pounds. But yeah, all in all, this trimester of books only cost me about 294$ which isnt bad at all. They are all new too :) After I finished move in, my parents brought me to The Pakistan House, which had some very wicked food. It was very good, but my stomach couldnt handle it. Oh well. After all that, we had a little floor meeting outside in the grass. Our RA Naqi tried to get everyone comfortable with each other, and mostly failed. After that little powow, we had the Brick BASH! WOW! shitty concert with bad music. To fulfill requirements, I went and watched it a little. It was like a bunch of people dancing, the rest standing and going wow what the hell. I strolled outta there and back to my room. Here is where I meet like 20 people rapid fire. They are all friends of Andres and they love their alky. So yeah, people come in and drink, peace out, and come back. I just hope this shit doesnt happen during the year. Yay RIT. Four fucking years left Thursday, May 19, 2005
Senior Prom
Mood: lucky Now Playing: Al's War - Less Than Jake Today was our senior prom. It was waaay up in West Orange, Mayfair Farms. I followed john bruno and his dad's limo all the way up there with Stef in our car. It was definately much nicer than last year's. Stef was absolutely beautiful and it was really an honor to be with her tonight. She was by far the most beautiful girl there, and I was so proud just to be with her. Tomorrow is our dinner cruise in New York. Yay :)

Good Weekend
Mood: flirty Now Playing: Last Moment Of Clarity - BT Yeah, this weekend was pretty good actually. I didnt really get a chance to write till about now. Friday night after lacrosse, Stef and I went ice skating. We definately havnt done that in too long. The weather seems to be taking a turn for the better so that and rollerblading should be on the uprise. On saturday I had the game against Voorhees (we won) and then later on played some paintball with dan. I saw stef later that night. Sunday was the walk for Chris Baldowski, which actually had a large turnout from what I saw. It felt good to do something for Chris, and it was a very nice day out. I pretty much stayed with stef all day until about oh... 10:30 at night. Not bad for a school night :)

Voorhees
Mood: incredulous Now Playing: Red Alibi - Sparta This was an interesting one. We lost to Ridge by 7 points right? Well, Voorhees beat Ridge by only one point... AND WE BEAT VOORHEES BY A POINT!!! Such a great game. Jimmy was on, Suggs was on, Ritters were on, and Gillen was on. Our defence was on for most of it, but we had some... special moments :\ like the penalty with 55 seconds on the clock. But hey, I cant complain, got me on the field again lol

Ridge
Mood: sad Now Playing: Shiver - Coldplay Okay, this day... not so good. It started off funny. I kinda threw danny's sandal out of the window when coach apel just got on the bus and got ready to go. lol, so I had to get off the bus, get the sandal, and come back on. He, needless to say, was rather pissed. That was trivial compared to the game though. We got stomped by ridge. Utterly and completely destroyed. Nor so good. I think everyone was too tired and off their games for it to happen. Bad frickin day. :(

Hillsborough
Mood: celebratory Now Playing: We Bring The Noise - Scooter This was one of our better games. We always beat this team in overtime, by one point. This day was no different. We had them trailed pretty well, but we got pumped up in the last quarter and finally caught up. Jimmy had an amazing day and saved our asses. In fact, almost everoyne had a good day on that day. Lotsa people got the attitude stickers :) I even got one for good mang down defence. w00t

Immaculata
Mood: hug me Now Playing: A Far Cry - Escaflowne Well, this was our opener game. We started off playing them very very bad. We werent in the game and they had us on the run. But, we rather quickly came back. At the end of the game, they had beaten us 7-5. This actually is a huge jump up from our previous years performances. I think our collective scores from the 3 past years was 38-8 or somethign ridiculous like that. The only issue with this game was that we should have had them. We didnt come out ready and we got smacked by stupid stuff.

First Day Of Lacrosse
Mood: not sure Now Playing: Invalid Letter Department - ATDI Well, today was the first official day of lacrosse. It was a fairly relaxed day: meeting, equiptment issue, and team discussion. I finally got to see two of the new coaches, and they seem okay. Gonna be weird without Sigel and Chamboch (spell?). Whatever, not really that important. This year is so different from the others in that we no longer have anyone to look up to, we are now the seniors. It kinda sucks. Im gonna miss those guys alot, Im just realizing that now that they arent here any more. I guess we all have to step up and become the new leaders which in and of itself is a scary concept. I can barely keep my own sh-t straight, much less lead anyone else. So it goes. Its also strange now that my friend is no longer playing. It really sucks because I knew that as long as he played, Id be okay. Its good to have someone you can rely on in lacrosse. Now i guess its me and Danny. But I wont be on the first string, so I gotta find someone I can work with. Thursday, February 17, 2005
Alfred University
Mood: lucky Now Playing: Time Of Your Life - Paul Oakenfold I got accepted into another college! Its Alfred University :). I got into their college and also got the Dean's Scholarship, which is 10k$ a year provided I keep my GPA above a 2.75, which does not sound too bad I dont think. But yeah, hopefully that and the FAFSA will augment my payments a little bit. Right now, I think the tuition would be around 22k a year, which is pretty damn nice for out of state university. Binghamton is around that neighborhood, probbably somewhere closer to 19k a year. I dont know about aid from them yet, I dont know if it will come after the FAFSA or not. But yeah, I await my other acceptances, rejections, and wait-listings. I guess I have to take it as it comes. Friday, February 4, 2005
Triops
Mood: spacey Now Playing: God Is A DJ - Faithless Oh man, Im so happy! Not only did I get into a college today (SUNY Binghamton), I also finally finished my essay for Alfred. It was to make a personal page with an Alfred section. The page is on my Java-class menu, I dont want to add it here yet because I dont want to redo the css stylesheet this late at night lol. But yeah, in Marine Bio we are allowed to bring in a fish tank or an animal for the class if we want. Me, I want to bring in my tank and set it up for Triops! If you dont know what they are, they are a sea-monkey type deal. They are a relatively small and robust organism reminiscent of a tiny horseshoe crab. The name Triop comes from how they have 3 compound eyes. These little guys are tough and they are just plain awesome. I never got mine to hatch because I could never get the water temperature up to acceptable levels. Mrs. Locke has an extra heater and a lamp, so my little Triops will finally get a chance to grow. I will most definately be adding a section about them as soon as they start growing.
