This website was started by me in the 8th grade. The purpose of this page was to be an informative and stylish site about a country of my choosing. After I had finished doing the body layout and menu javascript in Frontpage, my teacher, Mr. Convery, helped me to register with Angelfire and get my site online. Since that day, I have worked on transforming my site. The first things I did were to change the pages about Taiwan into pages about myself. From that point, the site has evolved of its own accord. It is only limited by my server space which is 20mb at present. I love to take pictures and to work with Photoshop and Premiere. Since the site started as a single page in Frontpage, I took that HTML template and transformed it into what you see here. I liked how I made the javascript menu, so I kept that class file and just changed its text display. The banners were made using Photoshop. I took an image and just added text on top and blended it down. The background was an abstract image that I made in Photoshop a while back.
The content on my page is mostly just things that relate to me personally. The "My Images" section contains a few selected pictures that I either really like, or I made in Photoshop. The ones that I made were Plain Life, Darkness Blue, Thingy Remixed, Endless SKy, Orchids of Winter, War Soldier and War Demon. The movies on the bottom of the page are short clips of the chaos and fun that happens in our school lunch. One of the kids at my table likes to throw bottle caps: I enjoy filming so it works out great.
The scripts that I use on my pages for the In-line image viewing are from a great site called Dynamic Drive. They have loads of really simple and flashy DHTML and HTML scripts. I use some of theirs scripts to make browsing my page more enjoyable and simple.
To me, the most important section of my page is "My Abyss". It is an online, open Web-blog. Anyone can post comments on entries that I have made. I used to post in it almost daily. I stopped posting in it shortly after school ended, for lack of an audience. I usually kept the URL to My Abyss in my AIM away messages. Once the summer started, I stopped using AIM. The blog will probably give you a very distorted picture of me because I usually only wrote when I was very mad or very happy. I am not bi-polar or manic depressive, but the blog served and still serves as an outlet for my frustrations.
The other sections of my webpage are pretty much what the title says. I was going to start a Counter-Strike clan with my friends, but they all stopped playing about the time I got a new computer and cable, so that page is empty :(. About me is nearly empty because, as I stated on the Home page, the page its self is the "about me" section. I like to hide little neat things on my page, so look around and try to click on images. Especially the happy puppy. Also, I appreciate very much the people that actually read the Read-Me stuff. This may help you if you have any problems navigating my site, and also may give you an unexpected diversion :).
All of that said, here are some special pictures and movies of my tour at Alfred University itself, and around the town of Alfred. I hope you enjoy.
