JoeChummer and Wraith's
Wizard World 2001
CrossGen Character Sketches

Scot Eaton

Wraith's Zanni

Joe's Roiya

This picture bears some explanation. I asked Scot if he could draw me a picture of Roiya giving JeMerik a noogie, cos i thought it would be funny, and he said, "I would but I'm lazy, but i'll do any head shot you want." Naturally i asked for a Roiya, and Scot playfully added the thought bubble.

Bart Sears

Wraith's Ingra

Joe's Persha

Paul Pelletier

Wraith's Evilea

Wraith and I both loved how this one came out. His direction to Paul was to have her eyes closed and power radiating from her eyes, and this was the finished result.

Joe's Corrin

I've been a fan Paul's since his mid 90s Green Lantern run, so I was originally wanting a GL sketch, since i wasn't familiar with Negation characters (since the book isn't out yet), but luckily there was a sheet showing all the characters in the book, and this is the wonderful sketch of Negation's resident Atlantean.

Steve McNiven

Wraith's Sephie

Wraith wanted to challenge our artists with each sketch he got, and Steve was well up for it. Wraith's direction was a wet-haired Sephie with a glowing palm. This is also signed by Beeber (see below)

Wraith's dark secret...

This is the back of Wraith's Sephie sketch, and it's all my fault, cos i jokingly (thought truthfully) told Beeber while Steve was working on his sketch that Wraith was having her sign his Sephie sketch as a way of making up for him not reading Meridian. Together me and Beeber convinced him that is IS a great book, and I think he succumbed... but only time will tell.

Joe's Sephie/Meridian

I must thank Steve yet again for this wonderful picture. This is by FAR my favourite of all my (and Wraith's) sketches cos it looks almost like a miniature Meridian cover, and it's even more than I expected or asked for. My only direction was Sephie looking to the sky with the island of Meridian in the background over her shoulder, and Steve added all the rest. Apparently, not very many people ask for a picture of the island, but I thought it would be a nice touch.
