What's NewLBXFI- What's New
July 21-22, 2000: Chris Carter is at the San Diego Comic-Con convention this afternoon, and shooting for Season 8 starts on Tuesday. Also, this is kinda old news, but you can pre-order the X-Files 2001 Calendar on Amazon.com, which will be delived in August. I think it's going for around $12, not that expensive, seeing as it's less than what they sell on the calendar stands around here. The 52nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards are scheduled to air on September 10th, and if you missed 'Chimera' the first time it aired, you'll want to set your VCR tomorrow night at 9 P.M.
July 21, 2000: Well, it's been decided: Scully's new partner for season 8 will be Robert Patrick, formerly of Terminator 2 fame. Chris Carter gave out info that Patrick will potray John Doggett, a "man's man", by-the-book skeptic that will aide Scully in the search for Mulder. He'll appear in all 8 season episodes, also earning a spot in the opening credits behind Duchovny and Anderson. I've found several sources, at Yahoo! News they have an article, as well as Canoe: Jam! Showbiz News and Zap2it Daily Headlines. Also, the Lone-Gunmen spinoff making its debut in the fall may take up The X-Files' 9 P.M. Sunday slot on the Fox Network, while XF moves to Thursday nights. And last but not least, don't forget David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson's birthdays coming up on August 7th for David and 9th for Gillian. At the Haven there's donations and a birthday project going on, so you might want to stop by.
July 20, 2000: I've decided that
I'm not going to do the crossover, since Angelfire is refusing to upload my manips and the MIDI I would've used for the page's background theme. So instead, I'm going to use the page for Fan Art. Drop me a line if you have any artwork of your own you'd like to submit. I'll have collages, manips, drawings, yadda yadda yadda- whatever people send in will somehow be made onto these pages whether the server likes it or not. I also heard a rumor yesterday that Tea Leoni was pregnant again, and that it isn't David Duchovny's, but the producer of The Naked Truth. Well, let's just hope it's a rumor and leave it at that. Unfortunately, The X-Files was snubbed again by the 52nd Annual Emmy award nominators in the 'Best Drama' and 'Best Actor/Actress in a Drama' categories, but got some music and effects nominations. Gary Shandling (ala` 'Hollywood A.D.') is hosting-now let's hope he'll be as good as Billy Crystal was last year! And, last but not least, Return to Me is scheduled to hit stores on DVD and VHS on October 31, 2000. You can pre-order it on Amazon.com.
July 19, 2000: I've added frames to the top and side of each and every page, after a long three hours of copy, paste, copy, paste. Soon enough, I'll be up and at the crossover. For some reason Angelfire refuses to cooperate with me, so I might use Geocities for the crossover material only. Also note that the 'shippy lyrics and sounds sections don't work. This is because the account which held all of the files got deleted. Please be patient as I *attempt* to rebuild. Also, I'll be working on the fan fiction archive ASAP. Look for some new stories soon!
