Video Game Pages:
- The CastleVania Dungeon
- A great big web page devoted to the entire CastleVania series. It includes just about all
the information you could think of, with obsessive attention to detail, and puts the
entire storyline in a great light. A neat part is
this one, which
has pictures of the actual castles which Castlevania was based on, in it's various forms.
- Tom's Crystalis World
- FAQs, Facts and more about SNK's action RPG, Crystalis. It mostly focuses on the NES version, but
the newer Game Boy version is very, very similar.
- Dragon Quest Shrine
- A very pretty Dragon Warrior page with pages about each of the games, as well as the anime and manga.
It also has quite a lot of official artwork which I haven't seen anywhere else.
- Dragon's Den
- A great site about the Dragon Warrior series. It has pages about all of the games, including full
bestiaries, equipment lists and maps!
- Final Fantasy Origins
- Probably the best page about the original Final Fantasy. It boasts a very nice graphical
walkthrough, which geeks like me would read just for fun, and the
White Mage Journal,
recording the experiences of an actual game played with a party of nothing but White Mages.
There's also full lists of all of the monsters, spells, weapons, US/Japanese differences
and an explanation for the Imfamous Invisible Woman.
- GameFAQs
- A searchable and browsable database of video game faqs, codes and reviews. Everything you could ever need.
- RPG Classics
- A huge group of shrines for just about every RPG you can think of. Some are not complete, but some, like the
Dragon Quest V Shrine are the most complete on the
web, even better than gamefaqs.com.
- The Metroid Database
- An excellent Metroid web site, with loads of info about all of the games.
- The Mushroom Kingdom
- A fun site about the Super Mario games. It tries to chronicle all of the games which feature Mario and other
Mario characters, including cameo appearances, as well as the differences between the Japanese and American
versions, and even differences between different releases. Did you know that there were actually
two versions of Super Mario Bros 3 for the
NES, with slight differences?
- |tsr's NES Archive
- Even though it hasn't been updated since 1999, the Archive is still the best site for NES collectors, with
info about pirate games, toys and accessories. It has sections about some of the weirdest things
associated with the old gray box, my person favorite being
the Pornographic games.
- Nintendoland
- A massive site full of fun facts and info about the various Nintendo systems. Sadly, not all of it is accurate.
- River City High
- A very complete page about River City Ransom.
- Computer games related to Tolkien's Works
- A comprehensive list of all of the (literally hundreds) computer games based on J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle Earth,
including Parody games.
- The Notable Ultima
- A great page about the venerable Ultima series of RPGs.
