I've written a small java card game. It's the solitaire game "King's Corner". Here's how you play:
You have a grid of 16 places. Aces and Number cards can go anywhere, but the face cards have specific places. The Jacks can only go on the top center or bottom center, the Queens can only go on the left and right center, and, you guessed it, the Kings go in the corners. Your goal is to get all of the face cards into their places, and you lose if a face card ever comes up and there are no places to put it.
There are only 16 spaces, and 52 cards, so when all 16 places are filled, you need to remove some. You can take pairs of number cards which add up to 10. 10s can be removed without a partner and Aces count as 1s. So, you can take away 2 fives, a 3 and a 7, a 9 and an Ace, etc. When you've removed all of the pairs you can, you go back to putting cards down. It's quite simple, fast-paced and fun to play.
Give it a try, and be patient waiting for it to load as I used actual images to represent the cards. Enjoy!
