Leo wandered in a little after four. He felt bad, shouldn’t he be making sure that Splinter was Ok, instead of running off like he did? He went to check on him, but stopped when he saw Mike and Oyuki in the kitchen. Mike looked really tired. “Oh, hi. Look who caught my bug I had last week.” “Ugh. You k’ Mike?” “I’ll live,” he replied followed by coughing. “That doesn’t sound good.” “No, it doesn’t.” O chimed in. “Why don’t you crash, Mike. You look like hell.” “Thanks a lot.” She patted his head as she got up and smiled, then she turned her attention to Leo. “How’s Splinter?” “I just got in. I was going to go check on him.” “Cool. Tell him ‘hi’ for me.” She turned back to Mike. “Come on sick boy, let’s watch some TV so you can get some rest. “Mm-kay.” Leo walked to the room at the end and knocked on the door. “Sensei?” “Come in, Leonardo.” Leonardo walked in and sat down next to his sensei. “Are you feeling better?” “A little. I have a feeling that something major is going to happen soon, though.” “Oh?” “Ha. Don’t look so worried. It is not an entirely bad feeling. I just feel something extreme is going to happen soon.” “Hmmm.” Leo couldn’t think of anything else to say. “Do not worry Leonardo. This is not your problem.” “But Sens-“ “No. I have said it before Leonardo, This is my problem and I shall deal with it.” Leo looked down “All right.” “Good. Now, I have meditated on this very much today and I am going to rest for awhile. If you need me, wake me.” “Ok. If you need—“ “I am fine Leonardo.” “Ok.” Leo went into Don and Mike’s room where Don was reading. Don looked up from his book and smiled a little. “With everything that went on this morning, I forgot that I have an exam tomorrow. And I’m only on chapter five.” “Are you going to finish it.” “I’m going to even if I have to stay up all night. I still have one more book after this!” Leo laughed. “I never saw you as a procrastinator, Don.” “Ha, ha. I’ve just been lazy lately or busy; don’t know which excuse to use.” Leo smirked. “I guess Ill leave you to your studying then.” “ ‘k, bye.” Leo walked over to the living room. Mike was passed but, leaning against Oyuki. She smiled slightly when Leo walked in. “He doesn’t look good at all. And he’s all clammy.” She turned to Mike. “Mikey?” A grumble was the response. Sigh. “Do you have any drugs?” Leo opened up the inside of his trench coat and peered inside at the lining. “What’d you want?” “You know what I mean.” Leo smiled. “Sorry. Yeah um, let me check. O watched as he left. Mike didn’t look good. Leo returned. “Nope. Must have been all used up from Raph’s last hangover.” “Hmph. Well I have some stuff up at our place. That’s as close as the pharmacy up on the corner.” Mike woke up groggily and listened to the conversation. “I can run up and—“ “Hey, don’t go trekking down here by yourself just to get me some Tylenol.” “Mikey, your sick. And you’re not going to get any better without anything, especially down here.” “Hey what’s that supposed to—“ “ You know that’s not what I mean.” Leo turned to leave, not wanting to be in the middle of some brewing argument. Mike sighed. “I know. I’m just grumpy ‘cause I’m sick.” “Ok, grumpy I’m going to get you some medicine.” Mike started to get up. “Not by yourself, I’m not.” “No, you lay down.” “I don’t want you to go by yourself.” “Fine.” She turned around. “Leo, will you accompany me up, so that the large sewer ‘gators don’t eat me?” Leo turned to Mike. Mike thought it over for a second. “Ok, that works.” Oyuki grabbed her coat. “Good.” She turned around. “You ready?” “Yeah.” He went to go put something to cover himself up with. Everybody turned as the door opened. “Anybody here?” Raph called as he came in. Leo swore silently as he put on his jacket. Great, just who I was trying to avoid all day. “Yeah, Me and Leo were leaving to get some medicine for Mike.” “Oh he’s sick?” “Yes, I am.” Mike stated from the couch, obviously beginning to get annoyed with all the babying. Stupid girls. “Ugh, How you feeling Mike.” “Unlike popular belief, I’ll live.” Raph watched Oyuki roll her eyes before she turned back to him. “Hey you want to come with us?” Raph was about to decline, but then realized he could probably get to figure out what was up with Leo. “Sure.” “Cool.” She turned around. “We’ll be right back-take it easy, ok?” “I will.” “Ok, then.” It didn’t take much time to get up to the fire escape outside April and Oyuki’s apartment. They opened the window with ease and climbed in. “I’m just going to run to the bathroom and grab the medicine. I’ll be back real quick.” Now at this point all Raph was thinking about was that he finally had the ability to question Leo, and all Leo was thinking abut was how to avoid this situation. Raph turned to him and smiled. “Ah, remember our earlier conversation?” Sigh. “Yeah, what about it?” “What’s up with you Leo? Straight answer- I’m tired of your bullshit answer!” “I don’t know what you’re talking about?” “Oh yeah, Since when did YOU get a life.” Now Leo was mad. “Oh, and I’m assuming that you are out there living the high life!” “More than you!” “Now I find that real hard to believe! Who would voluntarily spend time with you!” Oyuki sighed. Those two were at it again. There was a problem though. The brother’s open argument had drawn more than her attention. On the other side of that large flat April was trying to entertain a very persistent houseguest. “Well I saw you on the cover of Newsweek with these things. Now you claim not to know them?” April sighed. Who was this guy?? “Um, look…Hiroshi-“ The man looked a bit offended. “You may call me Mr. Hamato.” April blinked. Well that’s a strange coincidence. That’s when the yelling began. Oh, shit! “What’s that?” “Ummm…television. The television. I have surround sound.” Why didn’t I say it was the neighbors! “Strange.” He began to get up and went towards the source of the yelling at the end of the hall behind a closed door. “Doesn’t sound like a television.” “Ummm…Mr. Hamato you don’t want to open that door.” She decided to speak louder to warn the ‘people’ behind the door, because this guy had been pretty darn quiet going down the hallway, not they would have paid any attention in her apartment, where it sounded like everyone two floors up and down were two feet away. At the same time she began to yell “Mr. Hamato!,” he opened the door. And that made three pairs of eyes blink from shock. Oyuki walked out of the bathroom. “Thank you for quieting down a little! I don’t want every neighbor banging on my—“ It was at this point she looked up and saw the situation that was at hand. “Um, hi.” Hiroshi’s eyes did not leave the sight in front of him as he addressed April. “No ideas what I am talking about, eh?” Since no one was talking, April decided to try to fix this. “Well Mr. Hamato, I think—“ Leo looked at April Mr. Hamato? Oh, oh no… ”Hiroshi….” Raph looked from Leo to the man in front of him, comprehending the situation. “You –you know my name?” How do I answer this? “Um, I’ve heard of you, yes.” Hiroshi felt lightheaded. He was way to old for this strange situation. He stared at the thing, hoping that it would continue its explanation. Deep down the ground level a tear rolled down from an eye. Splinter sighed. “It’s started.” Ch 7 Soon!
