Slightly broad shoulders taper to a narrow waist. Much of her 5 feet 9 inches are in her long, lean legs. While her curves are in all the correct places, her muscles are well defined and toned. Lea holds her head high, always staring straight ahead. Her high forehead and chiseled cheek bones lend an air of refinement. A habit of leaning slightly forward at all times gives her the appearance of constant desire to spring into action. A silver, metallic implant at her left temple is frequently hidden under her hair. |

She is the third child in a family of seven, and the
only girl apart from her mother. Having spent her
childhood and most of her teenage years on Angel one,
she naturally was endowed with a very strong sense of
self. Instead of growing up playing with dolls and
pretend cooking utensils, she spent most of her time
roaming the woods and playing in the streams that
dotted the hills behind the family home. Her father, a
diplomatic liaison to Angel One, had encouraged her
forays. Her mother, as domestic as it is possible to
be, had insisted that she practice more feminine
pursuits like dance lessons and needlepoint whenever she could.
It was Kevin who showed her the basics of flying. The
two eldest boys shared a small hovercraft and when
they were sent on errands they would often bring Lea
along. She was fascinated by the blinking control
panels and Kevin took it upon himself to show her how
to monitor the various systems. Some of her fondest
memories are of racing around in the battered craft.
It was at the Institute that Lea had her only serious
relationship. They'd both entered the Academy the same
year, and when the war with the Dominion broke out
Aaron Hill, ever the idealist, sided with the Marquis.
After a failed attempt to recruit her, Aaron gave up
and hasn't been in contact with her since.
While the Satelite Tender Tuscany was on a routine
repair mission, they strayed too close to the
Cardassian border. The ship was attacked and subdued.
Most of the crew were taken for "questioning"
which
was little more than a chance for their tormenters to
perfect various "persuasion" techniques.
It was there that a Neural stimulation device was
implanted in Lea's left temple. The sensations the
device caused were extremely pleasurable and severe
addiction occoured rapidly. The stimulation was then
withheld until the desired response was produced.
Lea, and the rest of the surviving crew were sent to a
Madred Village where they fought for survival for
several months. They lost their commanding officers
one by one as they awaited rescue.
Once rescued, a collection of circuits were wired into
the device to control it's effects. Still, Lea
suffered through weeks of withdrawals. The new
circuits
override the implant with a constant stream of
information, like white noise. In a year, two at the
most, she'll be weaned from the implant but until then
she is at risk of a relapse into addiction.

LIKES:
Vigorous outdoors activities, rock climbing, camping, fishing, hiking. Old time tabletop games like pool, table tennis, and air hockey. Occasional indulgences in real water showers rather than the sonics. Verbal matches of wit.
DISLIKES:
Can't stand being treated as if she can't handle a situation just because of her gender. She takes the philosophy to an extreme even pushing herself to meet the male fitness requirements. Silly nicknames drive her crazy. Only select people can try one and live to see the dawn.
TALENTS:
Keeps them under tight wraps. While usually quite reserved, rumor has it that she keeps a holoprogram of a ballet studio and dance leotard in a canvas bag at the back of her closet. She does openly take active part in physical games. Football (known as Soccer to the rest of the world) is one of her favorites.
AMBITIONS:
An insatiable curiosity drives her to learn as much as she can about everything. A Jill-of-all-trades, she spends free time tinkering with various gadgets, running flight simulations, studying star charts and just about everything else she can get her hands on. Dreams of Captaining her own ship some day.
LIMITATIONS:
While still retaining an air of femininity, she projects the confidence of businesslike aloofness. Although she has a wicked sense of humor and is adept in most social situations, she tries to avoid gossip sessions or lengthy discussions of trivial matters. Therefore, she rarely can make and keep good female friends. More often she's simply 'one of the guys.' Because she is so focused on her career she occasionally neglects personal relaxation time. At those moments she becomes quite abrupt and looses her temper easily. Because of her intrinsic understanding of the physical aspects of life she often looses sight of the mental requirements of herself and others. Plagued by a fierce self-consciousness about the implant in her forehead. (see personal history)
STRENGTHS:
Can keep her head in any situation. Fast on the draw and an excellent shot. Ability to make snap judgments and follow them though in crunch time. Knows what her strengths are and plays to them. Utilizes the people around her to reach the best resolution.
SPECIAL ABILITIES:
While not in possession of ESP, her Psi Quotient is fairly high for a human. Because of that fact she is an excellent judge of character and her intuition rarely fails her. She has an excellent long term memory. Although she prefers to avoid situations where she cannot follow her 'take control' instincts, she is very adaptable and can play virtually any role.
QUIRKS:
Has a habit of tapping her fingernails against the nearest smooth surface when deep in thought. While her fingernails are always filed to rounded tips and coated with a clear polish, she keeps her toenails done up in red. She always wears a silver ring on her right ring finger. The decoration is a shield shape. When she is nervous she runs her thumb along the palm side.
HOBBIES/INTERESTS:
Just about everything interests her. Her oldest brother tried to get her to take up the more cerebral games of Chess and Kal-toh but she prefers physical activities. The only real sit down pass time Lea takes advantage of is piano playing. At the insistence of her mother, she spent three years between the age of six and nine taking piano and ballet lessons. She conducts her exercise alone in the holodeck and pretends not to hear when someone asks her what she does there.
