Information

Was born in Canada on Earth and is an only child. At the age of four he and his parents who were already skilled in the martial art of Tae Kwon Do moved to China to study the exotic art of Kung-Fu from a monk for six years. By the time he was ten they moved back to Canada so his parents could open a martial arts training school. He has been training in martial arts since he was five. Although he greatly enjoys the art he did not want to take over the school like his would have liked. Even though they would rather have him stay and take over the school, they support him in joining Starfleet. He took a course in Basice Physics and earned his Bachelor's degree in the hopes that it would increase his chances of being accepted into the academy. At the academy he enjoyed the history courses and also the physics. He found the tactical training challenging but over all rewarding. The hand-to-hand combat skills gave him difficulty because the techniques differed from what he had trained in before at his parents school.

From his martial arts training he has learned great control over his mind and can bury his thoughts deep beyond the reach of telepaths. He can not do this automaticaly, he must concentrate to push his thoughts beneath the surface. Just like any other being, he has no control over his mind when in a vulcan's mind meld. If the telepath's mind is particularly strong, he will have trouble burying his thoughts behond the reach of the telepath.

Tiffin keeps a journal on paper as well as on a computer.
