This story isn’t mine but my fathers. My father and I are re'nactors the Civil War for fun. One day we got a chance to play a part in the movie “ Gettysburg ” and were confederate soldiers. Well one day after filming, all hot and bloody we got in a pick up going to town. There were at least 7 of us in the back and 4 up front. There were three men talking on the side of the pickup I have never seen so I just sat there. At some times I thought I saw through them but never spoke up. As we went along we dropped off the other five people so it was the driver, my father, the three men, and me. As we got out the back one of the guys looked at me and my dad and had no face, only darkness there. We thought we were just tired so the next day I talk to the driver and she says that after we got off see turned around to ask them where they needed to go and they simply were gone, so I swear that my dad and me saw ghost of  the real battle of Gettysburg.

 

 

On another story with re'nactors, we get a lot of these and don’t know if its true. My fathers friends Mike and Bill were out on the field sleeping in there tents, trying to get in the feel, for the battle of stones river tomorrow, at the middle of the night they are awaken, with five others, and hear muskets and cannons firing. They think they over slept and walk out to a night fired with smoke and soldier. They thought that people were to hyped up but a man on a horse came by and told them the Yankees were coming, so they got up and dressed and went to look, all over they say men dieing and thought this is real. After hours they field fell silent again and they went to sleep. When the day broke they officer came and said that villagers heard the sound of battle, was that you? They all looked at each other and walked the field and found thousands of foot prints in the ground and out of the old field saw a lone cannon ball and it was still hot.

 

The Civil War is a very interesting war to study and with the most deaths of U.S. wars you came find some ghost with sweethearts from Tennessee waiting for them to write.
