OVERVIEW
The TME-107 is a less advanced version of the TME-105 Rhino armored personnel carrier. Based directly on the standard Imperial Guard infantry transport of the same name used in the Warhammer 40,000 S/TS, the TME-107 is a simple internal combustion-powered vehicle that is easily modified to meet different roles.
CAPABILITIES
The most common variant, the Chimera armored personnel carrier, carries a platoon of motorized infantry into battle and supports it with a medium laser on a turret and six machine guns on the sides of the hull (manned by the infantrymen). Three tons of additional cargo may be carried. Suggested field modifications include an upgrade the medium laser to a pulse laser by removing the additional cargo space and reducing the machine gun ammunition by 20 shots; replacing the machine guns and ammunition with a light Marik autocannon in the front hull; or doing both.
The Hellhound flamethrower tank variant mounts ten vehicle flamers on a turret with enough ammunition for nearly two minutes of continuous fire. This weapons loadout can push a hot 'Mech into instant shutdown and is popular for bunker clearing, city fighting, and forest interception missions.
The Basilisk SP artillery variant mounts a Thumper artillery piece with fifty rounds of ammunition.
The Griffon SP mortar variant mounts a Sniper artillery cannon with twenty-five rounds of ammunition.
DEPLOYMENT
The TME-107 is popular with city garrisons and poor militaries who need cheap flexibility. The same people who buy BATAVs buy TME-107s.
