OVERVIEW
The TME-131 Pit Viper is a simple yet effective light combat and reconnaissance aerospace fighter based off of the vessel of the same name used in the Silent Death S/TS. While not possessing the rib-cracking speed of the TME-130 Dart, the Pit Viper is a more effective balance of speed, weaponry, and firepower. Like most small fighters it trades armor for speed but, unlike the Dart, the hull is at least uniformly covered with armor.
CAPABILITIES
Four lasers, three medium and one small, make up the Dart's armament. Although only 25% heavier than the Dart, it has four times the armor protection. A sufficient amount of fuel allows it to engage in lightening raids or close escort missions.
DEPLOYMENT
The Pit Viper is prized by speed-demon pilots who are slightly saner than those who would fly Darts.
