OVERVIEW AND CAPABILITIES
The TME-133 Blizzard is a light Clan fire platform with good speed and dogfighting ability combined with unprecedented ground-support and anti-DropShip strength. Based on the Blizzard fighter used in the Silent Death S/TS, four extended-range medium lasers let it devastate enemies at medium range while an Arrow-IV artillery missile launcher along the ventral centerline give it the ability to bash in heavy armor from extreme ranges. When equipped with anti-fighter warheads, the Blizzard is an excellent massed-formation destroyer. If modified to fire in space, a single Star of Blizzards can quickly spell the end of small capital ships without much risk to the fighters. With sufficient fuel to achieve its mission and a safe acceleration rate of four G, the Blizzard is a nimble ship with good endurance. Like most Clan aerospace fighters, however, it lacks somewhat in armor.
DEPLOYMENT
The TME-133 is gaining popularity in Clan fire-support Stars and notoriety amongst Inner Sphere pilots. A common field variant that replaces the artillery missiles for a heavy autocannon or twin large pulse lasers is noted for its prowess at dogfighting.
