OVERVIEW AND CAPABILITIES
The TME-136 Hellbender is an effective Clan long-duration heavy fighter based on the "Hellbender" used in the Silent Death S/TS. Fast, armed with devastating weapons, thickly armored and capable of fast launch, the Hellbender makes an excellent interceptor. An extra-light 300-class engine allows it to keep up with light fighters and five tons of fuel gives it a fuel endurance common to fighters of its size. Twin extended-range particle projector cannon make up its armament, while seventeen double-dissipation heat sinks allow the Hellbender to use its long-ranged and hard-hitting firepower to full effect. Very Short Take-Off and Landing equipment gives the Hellbender the use of short runways, making it an excellent scramble fighter. An unprecedented twenty-plus tons of ferro-aluminum armor coat its sleek frame, making it as resilient against enemy fire as some DropShips.
DEPLOYMENT
The TME-136 is seeing increasing use in Clan destroyer and interceptor Stars.
