OVERVIEW
The TME-140 Walking Fortress is a massive assault 'Mech that is considered to be a total failure by most TME engineers. "Slow, ugly, and stupid" is what many people on the street say, and even a few Koltrop engineers who designed it admit that it is "even dumber than the UrbanMech." Slow, ungainly, and armed with far too many heavy weapons, the Walking Fortress is about as mobile and effective in battle as the medieval castle it emulates in design.
CAPABILITIES
Paired heavy autocannon, long-range missile twenty-racks, medium lasers, and a single large laser make up the Walking Fortress's armament. While fearsome to the unexperienced because of the sheer force they exude and the large ammunition supplies they are granted, veterans see them as a waste of tonnage because the Walking Fortress is simply too slow to bring its weapons to bear.
DEPLOYMENT
The TME-140, first introduced in 3035, is practically non-extant in the Inner Sphere.
