OVERVIEW
The TME-148 Pyro is a specialized 'Mech based on the "Pyro" KBot used by Core forces in the Total Annihilation S/TS. Similar to the Firestarter in concept, the Pyro is a lighter, more powerful design that utilizes both advanced engine and heavy flamer technology.
CAPABILITIES
The Pyro is equipped with twin flamers, twin heavy flamers, and twin medium lasers in its arms. The standard flamers use plasma from the fusion core while the twin heavy flamers draw upon napalm tanks held on the outside of the right torso. These napalm tanks are protected by Cellular Ammunition Storage Equipment ammunition bins and provide the heavy flamers with enough fuel for one hundred seconds of continuous fire (pun not intended).
VARIANTS
The TME-148 suffers the disadvantages of the Firestarter as it is a highly specialized 'Mech. The TME-148-A, however, is a dedicated short-range combat platform that replaces the heavy flamers with medium pulse lasers and the standard flamers with standard medium lasers.
