OVERVIEW
The TME-17 SkyDemon is another heavily armored, fast fighter. Like the TME-14 Speed Sociopath, it is designed to support the TME-12 Peregrin. Having the same speed and a better short-ranged array, the TME-17 is a welcome addition to a squadron of TME-12s and -14s.
CAPABILITIES
The TME-17 is much faster than other fighters of similar tonnage and just as well armored. For weapons, it has a trio of medium lasers and a single extended-range large laser in the nose as well as a short range missile four-rack with Artemis IV fire control systems under each wing. This array of weaponry, along with its superior duration thanks to six tons of fuel, makes the TME-17 a tough fighter.
DEPLOYMENT
Unfortunately, the SkyDemon doesn't sell well. Recon fighter units wishing heavier firepower enjoy the SkyDemon thanks to its durability, speed, and large canopy, but standard combat units often wish somewhat more firepower.
VARIANTS
There are no known variants of the TME-16.
