OVERVIEW
The TME-27 Microbe is the smallest BattleMech ever produced, as well as one of the fastest. Intended as a very small scout unit, the TME-27 is hardly larger than some battle armor designs. A highly mobile yet frail design, it is very popular with the certifiably insane.
CAPABILITIES
Surprisingly, it is not uncomfortable to operate. It uses the same lie-on-your-belly system as the TME-09 Pincer hovertank. A joy to operate, it veritably leaps over the ground for a very smooth ride.
The TME-27 is armed with three extended-range small lasers and Target Acquisition Gear (TAG). Speed is the Microbe's life as a mere two tons of armor covers its frame. The key to the Microbe's blazing speed is its extra-extra-light engine, a new bit of equipment that is sure to make light designs more common.
DEPLOYMENT
The TME-27 is popular with recon units but is a bit expensive to reconcile with its frailty, as a single medium laser hit could easily remove its limbs. However, pilots of the Microbe always go at top speed, making them nearly impossible to hit.

DESIGNER'S NOTE: Yes, it is extremely weak. But with a +7 to-hit modifier against it, (i.e. have to roll 11 or better at short range) hitting it could be a problem.
