OVERVIEW
The TME-30 Rapier medium electronic warfare (EW) BattleMech was originally based on the TME-24 Wraith 'Mech. After extensive modification and the addition of the latest in EW equipment, the Rapier is practically a second-generation Raven.
CAPABILITIES
The Rapier is moderately armed with an extended-range large laser, three medium lasers and a Streak short-range guided missile two-rack. However, it is its electronics that require note. An Angel electronic countermeasure (ECM) blister in the right torso disables enemy sensor suites while the Beagle active probe in the left torso detects hidden units.
DEPLOYMENT
The TME-30 Rapier has been purchased by many units with the need of an EW unit that can protect itself in an altercation
