OVERVIEW
The TME-35 Halberd is an average combat design with an experimental weapon: the BattleMech Halberd, a combination pike and axe.
CAPABILITIES
The Halberd can strike at any range with its long-range missile fifteen-rack, extended-range large laser, and two medium lasers. Celluar Ammunition Storage Equipment protects the 'Mech in case of ammunition explosions. It has an average speed but can jump over obstacles.
The halberd it carries is a special melee combat weapon. Its axe blade allows it to be used as a hatchet or its diamond-osmium alloy pike tip can be used to pierce armor. Its longer shaft also gives the TME-35 an advantage if it is charged and can also be used to strike an opponent first in melee combat.
DEPLOYMENT
The TME-35 is popular with units renowned for their penchant for melee combat. Solaris Mechwarriors are particularly keen on the TME-35-A which adds triple-strength myomer technology.
