OVERVIEW
When Hesperus Industries closed down its BattleMaster production lines, Weirdo Zone Internal Security Services agents were there to make "backups" of the BLR series' specifications. The end result of that operation was that TME Industries soon came out with a new and improved BattleMaster--the TME-55. The TME-55 was an acceptable heir to the BattleMaster lineage, but it wasn't until the -A variant was produced that the reproduction garnered critical praise.
CAPABILITIES
The TME-55-A is so popular that it is usually mistaken for the standard model (which is actually less popular). It actually doubles the BattleMaster's forward firepower and equips it with the heat sinks to use it. Twin particle-projection cannon in a disengagable hand-held mount give the BattleMaster-T distance-fighting capability. Ten medium lasers in the front torsos as well as shoulder- and left-arm- mounted short-range missile six-racks can maul anything at short range. Two medium lasers in the rear torsos provides above-average defense from pursuers. Second-generation Cellular Ammunition Storage Equipment protects the extra-light engine in the event of an ammunition explosion.
The truly fearsome attribute of the TME-55-A is that it maintains the exact appearance of the BLR-1G BattleMaster. Enemies are apt to underestimate the BattleMaster-T's power until it is too late.
VARIANTS
The original TME-55 has twin particle projection cannon, two Streak guided short-range missile six-racks, six foward medium lasers, and three small lasers.
