OVERVIEW

The TME-59 OmniArcher came into existence when the ARC-series Archer was discontinued.  TME Industries hated to see such a big, open, and easily modifiable chassis go to waste.  It was this easy modifiability that turned the BattleMech Archer into an OmniMech OmniArcher.

CAPABILITIES

The basic chassis (TME-59) is an empty shell.  It supports basic operating equipment, an extra light engine, armor, second-generation Cellular Ammunition Storage Equipment in the side torsos, and not much else.  Endless hardpoints and connectors exist to mount weapons and equipment on.

The primary loadout (TME-59-A) replicates all of the qualities of the original ARC-1R Archer.  It has two long-range missile twenty-racks, a medium laser in each arm and two rear-facing medium lasers in the center torso.  A C3 master computer in the left arm makes this a capable command 'Mech--standing in the rear providing cover fire while directing the rest of a lance or company.

The "Able" variant (TME-59-B) is an all-range fire support 'Mech.  The long-range missile launchers are downgraded to ten-racks and three short-range missile four-racks take up the newly availiable space.  A pulse laser in each arm is added to the medium laser arsenal to support the OmniArcher-A's forward actions and a C3 slave computer in the left torso allows it to organize with the rest of a lance through a C3 master computer in the lead 'Mech.

The "Baker" variant (TME-59-C) excels in medium-range support.   It carries twin Thunderbolt fifteen-class missile launchers and a C3 slave unit.  These missiles can send a massive amount of damage into a limited area.

The "Charlie" variant (TME-59-D) acts as a short-ranged punisher.  In addition to the standard laser arsenal, it mounts ten short-range missile four-racks.  These missile racks can annihilate anything dumb enough to get close, and the C3 slave computer makes this a sort of "super-spotter" for the rest of a C3-equipped lance.
