OVERVIEW
This bland flying wing is a dedicated escort / fast-attack aerospace fighter. Blindingly fast and well armed with multiple weapons and a ventral turret, the TME-79 Escort is a great anti-formation fighter. In dogfights its multiple firing arcs give it an advantage.
CAPABILITIES
Four twin medium lasers in positions around the fuselage provide stationary cover to the sides of the craft, while a fully rotating ventral turret with an long-range missile five-rack and two medium lasers give the Escort variable support arcs.
The fact that the TME-79 has the exact same speed parameters as an unloaded TME-80 Liberator bomber has brought up suggestions that they were actually designed together. Come to think of it, the Escort does make an excellent companion for the TME-80 Liberator...
