The TME-80 Liberator's retro lines harkens back to the good old days of World War II strategic bombers.  This heavy bomber, with its internal bomb bays, is fully capable of level, dive, and carpet bombings against ground targets.  The pilot is also responsible for dropping the bombs.  The external engine pods on the wings frees up room in the fuselage for bombs.  While it has eight medium lasers manned by four gunners for defense, it is not a capable dogfighter and relies on escorts for effective protection.  The Liberator is fast for its size, and is perfectly capable of speeding away after dumping its load.

To limit the size of the life-support equipment, the bomb bays are unpressurized.
