I may take some flak but perhaps the page title will give you a clue how I feel about this one. I include it only because it is part of The Star Trek Universe.
The Original Star Trek had been moved from one network to the other and then cancelled after the 3rd season. The studios felt it had run its' course.
The fans let them know differently; we wrote letters, we sent telegrams, we signed petitions. As reward for our efforts and wishes they gave us a Saturday morning cartoon show. I took it as an insult.
The animation was primitive at best with hokey looking aliens; like Miss Kitty or Mr Artichoke Head, childishly stylized creatures and poorly detailed technical drawings.
No one in my corner of the galaxy was terribly excited by its' arrival or particularly sad at its' demise.
