I think this is a wild turkey chick, but I'm not sure. The woods were just crawling with wild turkeys. Most of them were too fast for me to get shots of. We had even seen an albino one on our trek on horseback, but the only thing in that picture is woods. They're fast!
Getting lighter out, but overcast. I love the way the light and shadows played on the trees.
At that point, we ended up on a detour, back onto the highway. It was long enough that we settled into the highway driving again and just raced on back home.
There's so much more we would like to do in that area, that we're planning on going back early this summer or maybe early in the fall.
