Clone Pilot Lieutenant

(from Loyalties)

I'm not sure why this Episode 2 Clone Pilot has Episode 2 Lieutenant markings, even though the story he's in takes place after Episode 3. Also, strangely, he seems to be part of Coruscant police force. Maybe that's where the old uniforms go? This story was the first to violate a continuity rule that I knew would happen. Prior to Palpatine declaring himself Emperor, both ships and clones had colored markings. In the end scene by the Death Star, the ships are without markings. In interviews Lucas said that now that the Empire has arrived, the colors are now gone - in other words all the clones would now be stark white like the Stormtroopers (I think this story is also the first chronologically to use that word). I knew that since all the various Clone Trooper variations are so popular, we'd continue to see colored marking on them in the comics. Not really a complaint per se (gives me more troops to make :), just an observation.
