Summary: Drabble. Two people on two broomsticks.

We slip and twist through the towering trees, fast, too fast, holding tight to our broomsticks and glancing fleetingly across at each other – “do you give? do you yield yet? do I win yet?” – a frantic contest through green and brown, leaves and twigs whipping at us as we pass like stray strange birds of prey, lithely speeding swinging through the tiny clearings with an effortful control of our personal magic, each waiting for the other to cry mercy and pull abruptly upwards, conceding mastery of the Forest.

We burst out over the lawns without a single inch between us.
