Explanation of the conversions: The Incantation to activate her Instant Change is saying "Costume On" or "Costume Off".
History: Katie was granted her power by a dying Kymelian, along with her sister and two brothers. For a while she switched powers with the accelerations powers of her sister Julie and became Starstreak. Later she switched powers to the gravity powers originally held by her brother Alex and became Counterweight II. Eventually she regained her original powers over matter and energy.
When Speedball was reorganizing the New Warriors he asked Katie's brother Alex is rejoin them. Although Alex refused Katie offered to join them, but Speedball declined (New Warriors II #1).
Powers: As Energizer Katie can turn matter into energy then fire that energy in the form of her power balls. When she charges up her power she glows. She can intercept incoming attacks and convert them into energy.
With concentration she is able to heal herself and others.
Katie was given a suit by the Kymelians that she can summon at will from another dimension. It acts as insulation and minor body armor, and can optionally come equipped for under-sea and outerspace survival when needed.
