Explanation of the conversion: I might take the time to expand her mace into a weapon multipower.
History: Shayera Hol was a military officer on her native planet of Tanagar. She was sent to Earth as an advanced
scout for her military to judge their military abilities.
Upon arrivial she made up a cover story that she was an undercover detective on her native planet of Thanagar. She claimed
that while
pursuing some criminals who were trafficking in forbidden technology, she was zapped by a dimensional transport beam. Her
molecular structure was ripped apart and sent halfway across the galaxy. When she awoke, she found herself on an uncharted
planet called Earth. Using her survival training, she adopted a human identity and learned to blend in with the native
population.
Shayera developed a strong bond with the people of Earth. As
Hawkgirl, she uses her Thanagarian powers to serve and protect her adopted home.
As a trained detective she has phenomenal powers of observation, deeply impressive to Batman. A great team player, the
others consider Hawkgirl one of the guys, making it easy to forget that she comes from another world. Despite her pleasant
and unassuming personality, she is a fierce combatant. She can strike with a sudden ferocity surprising to her closest
teammates.
When aliens who had taken over Mars attempted to invade Earth, Hawkgirl was among the heroes telepathically contacted by
the Jhon Jhones to stop them. Afterwards she was a founding member of the Justice League.
After the Thanagarian military attempted to invade Earth in as a staging ground in their war Shayera betrayed the
Justice League. When she learned they Thanagarians were going to destroy the Earth, she changed loyalities again,
unable to let Earth be destroyed.
After defeating the Thanagarian invasion, she left the Justice League (Starscrossed).
She stayed at the tower of Doctor Fate for some time, but after she assisted the League in defeating Solomon Grundy
she rejoined.
Trivia: In the Batman Beyond future, Hawkgirl and Green Lantern had a son, who became the Justice League
member Warhawk.
Powers: Hawkgirl has mild superhuman strength and agility as well as functioning feathered wings which allow her to
fly. Like all her race she is unusually resistant to mind reading.
Hawkgirl wears a protective costume and carries a charged mace into combat.
