Explanation of the conversion: The two sets of Characteristics represent Joan at normal human level and when she is taking the V-47 formula. The common Limitation on many of Ms. Victory's Powers of "Must take V-47 formula every day, or looses this ability." is a combination of a Charge lasting 24 hours and a Focus. Normally in play it won't come up unless she is kept away from her drugs for more the 24 hours. This could come up if captured, off planet, or in another dimension for too long. She can recreate the V-47 formula if she has access to the right equipment and enough time.
History: Joan Wayne was born May 21st, 1914 in Charleston, South Carolina. She became a biochemist.
During World War II, she worked to develop a super-soldier serum for the U.S. Army. The first version they tried on a person, V-45, drove the subject insane, turning the Black Commando from a government agent into a raving madman. Unable to risk testing the formula on anyone else, Joan took V-47 herself. It worked, but because it was keyed to her body chemistry it only worked for her. She adopted the masked identify of Miss Victory and began fighting against saboteurs.
In 1943, the Nazis launched an attack against America using a strange green gas and moss-like monsters. Miss Victory teamed up with She-Cat, Rio Rita, and the Blue Bulleteer to thwart the attack. Shortly thereafter, Eleanor Roosevelt sanctioned Femforce as an auxiliary to the War Department, and ever since then it has remained the premier American super-team. Sometime in the seventies Miss Victory changed her name to Ms. Victory.
In 1986, a freed Black Commando forced Joan Wayne (who hadn't taken her V-47 for several days) to take a dose of V-45. The unstable drug warped her mind, turning her into the anti-social Rad (Nightveil #7).
The government forced her daughter Jennifer, who shared her mother's unique body chemistry, to become the Ms. Victory II and take charge of Femforce. It took several years before Joan was finally caught and the V-45 removed from her system. Today she is once more in charge of Femforce, and recently decided to allow her Joan Wayne identity to die off. Her long-time romantic attachment to Paragon recently took a turn when he proposed marriage, and she has not as yet decided on her response.
Joan attended the wedding ceremony of Barbaric and Ricochet along side other members of Femforce (Savage Dragon #41).
When the demon Gorgana tired to open up dimensional gates to lead a demon invasion on Earth, the members of Femforce and the Sentinels of Justice tried to destroy those gates. Ms. Victory was able to defeat nearly defeated by an eye-blasting demon, but was saved by Nightveil and able to destroy the first gate. Stardust was able to defeat demons of fire, wind and ice and destroy the second. When Yankee Girl tried to destroy the third she faced a giant rock monster with hypnotic eyes, but Ms. Victory was able to smash the monster and Yankee Girl destroyed the third gate (Femforce #114).
Powers: Joan can lift 1540 tons, has total recall and hyper fast reaction time. Her senses are all enhanced to peak ability, especially her vision, which far exceeds that. Nearly invulnerable, when she does get injured she heals quickly because of her incredible health. She can hold her breath for over four hours and can fly at well over 200 mph. She has an I.Q. of 220!
