Conversion Notes: This package represents the minimum abilities of a young (16 to 25 year old) brown dragon from the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons role playing game. This write-up uses Champions 5th edition rules.
Brown dragons are an uncommon larger dragon type. Although it can survive in any climate, it prefers deserts. They can breath a spray of acid or attack with their powerful claws and bite.
Although generally considered an evil race of dragons, player characters can play any alignment. The major enemies of the brown dragon include bronze dragons, blue dragons, rainbow dragons and sand dragons.
Brown dragons, also known as great desert dragons, migrated from the desert. Raurin and now frequent much of the wastes in Eastern Mulhorand. Brown dragons are ferocious beasts; while they are intelligent, they view human beings as food, and believe it peculiar to talk with one's meal. They do not have wings and cannot fly. Brown dragons have a coloration similar to that of desert sands, ranging from dim brown at hatchling stage to almost white at great wyrm stage. They have small, webbed claws that well developed for digging, and very large, long mouths. Their scales are leathery and not as hard as other dragon armors.
While they can survive on almost any food, they prefer live meat. Like most dragons they can live for over 1000 years, sense the presence of invisible things, see in the dark, are immune to sleep and hold spells, but it has either small and useless or absent wings, and cannot fly. Brown dragons can hold their breath almost indefintiely and can burrow at high speeds.
Note: Add Tremorsense at will.
