Conversion Notes: This package represents the minimum abilities of a young (16 to 25 year old) copper dragon from the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons role playing game. This write-up uses Champions 5th edition rules.
Copper dragons are one of the smaller common dragon types. Although it can survive in any climate, it prefers rocky mountains. They can breath a cone of slow gas or a line of acid. They can also attack with their powerful claws and bite. They can magically neutralize poisons three times a day.
Although generally considered a good, if chaotic, race of dragons, player characters can play any alignment. The major enemies of the copper dragon include red dragons and rock dragons.
Copper dragons are incorrigible pranksters, joke tellers, and riddlers. They are prideful and are not good losers, although they are reasonably good winner. They are particularly selfish, and greedy for their alignment, and have an almost neutral outlook where wealth is concerned.
At birth, a copper dragon's scales have a ruddy brown color with a copper tint. As the dragon gets older, the scales become finer and more coppery, assuming a soft, warm gloss by the time the dragon becomes a young adult. Beginning at the venerable stage, the dragons' scales pick up a green tint.
Their favorite food is giant scorpions. Like most dragons they can live for over 1000 years, sense the presence of invisible things, see in the dark, are immune to sleep and hold spells, and have large wings which allow flight.
