Conversion Notes: This package represents the minimum abilities of a young (16 to 25 year old) salt dragon from the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons role playing game. This write-up uses Champions 5th edition rules.
Salt dragons are one of the smaller and weaker of the uncommon dragon types. It has average intelligence. Although it can survive in any climate, it prefers coastal regions. Salt dragons get their name from their unusual breath weapon. They can breath a cone of salt or attack with their powerful claws and bite. The cone of sodium not only hurts, but often blinds opponents. Salt dragons are immune to all poisons. Three times a day they can magically leave no trace of their passing.
Although generally considered an evil race of dragons, player characters can play any alignment.
Salt dragons shouldn't be confused with yellow dragons. They are two very different breeds of dragon despite similar coloring. Some scholars believe that green dragons were created by a breeding of salt dragons and blue dragons. Salt dragons often compete with bronze dragons for territory.
Like most dragons they can live for over 1000 years, see in the dark, sense the presence of invisible things, are immune to sleep and hold spells, and have large wings which allow flight.
