-This process lasts for about 305 days
-To have a cow conceive the farmers must estimate when their estrous period is, artificially inseminate, or provide a bull for mating.
-By means of artificial insemination the bulls semen does not need to be on the same farm of the soon to be mother.
-The semen can be frozen in liquid nitrogen, can be stored for long periods of time and can be transported.
-Artificial insemination is the most common method.
