Important Body Parts and Their Functions

The fins: The fins enable the piranha to control all its movements. Two types; paired and unpaired.  Paired fins are in the pectoral area.  Unpaired fins are the tail fin, the anal fin and the dorsal fin.

The skeleton:  The skeleton of the piranha is much stronger than a normal bottom skeleton: The dwelling fish.  This robust structure helps the piranha move quickly and swiftly through the water.
