General Overview

Coordinated science is a multi-year course designed to help meet the graduation requirements of the Sate of Delaware and the Appoquinimink School District, to address the State of Delaware Science Standards, and to help students be successful in their junior year sciecne component of the Delaware Student Testing Program (DSTP). Students are instructed with a thematic approach, integrating biology, chemistry, earth science, and physical science. Students are introduced to a broad scope of scientific concepts by a variety of methods including a significant amount of lab work.

Course Desciption

Coordinated Science I is the first year of the sequence. The course will use a variety of resources to study energy, electricity, motion, geology, and chemistry for CP (Space science instead of chemistry for AP). Written research papers, oral reports, and labwork are integral parts of the curriculum.

Expectations

It is expected that all students will:

Come prepared to work in class everyday.
Respect other people, their property, and their opinons.
