Maiden's Port, 1997. The place for what was to be the Master's last battle against the Seventh Doctor. Using a alien parasite to control the mind and body of a Russian woman called Rusalka, the Master intended to exact his revenge. The battle was won by the Doctor, who not only freed Rusalka from the alien's influence but added insult to injury by offering to help the derailed Master.

The Doctor was rescued from the Master's violent physical attack, and the Master escaped in his TARDIS. Driven quite mad by the Cheetah Virus, the Master uses his link with the Kitling, Shadow, to travel back to the early 1970s.

Spearhead From Space

The Third Doctor has been exiled to Earth, having been forcibly regenerated by the Time Lords. Weakened beyond measure the Doctor arrives in Oxley Woods, Ashbrigde.

Once he has recovered from his post-regeneration trauma, the Doctor is destined to assist UNIT in defeating multiple alien invasions over a period of five years. The results of these invasion will have a big impact on the development of the universe.

The Master intends to pervert that by striking the killing blow when the Doctor is at his most weakest.

An attempted kidnap has taken place at Ashbridge Cottage Hospital by Autons, the spearhead of a Nestene invasion. The kidnap is bungled when the Doctor fakes unconsciousness. He awakes and escapes in a wheelchair. UNIT troops chase after him, while the Autons flee back to their base of operations. The Doctor seeks the shelter of his TARDIS.
