Unto the Living Earth
Unto the Living Earth will be my NANOWRIMO (National Novel Writing Month) project. It will be written between November 1 and November 30, 2007. It will be at least 50,000 words in length. In order to successfully complete the challenge, I will need to write at least 1666 words per day, which is about 6.6 pages per day. Last year was my first attempt, and it was quite an experience. I enjoyed it so much that I had to give it another try. Each year brings its own trials and tribulations, and so many unforeseen events crop up to challenge your ability to continue and complete the challenge. But I live for challenges.
Once again, I hope that all my good friends will be able to tune in and keep up with me as I blaze through days and days, weeks and weeks of non-stop writing to complete this challenge and emerge with a decent story. Once again, it will be raw, unedited, full of split infinitives and dangling participles, punctuation errors, typos, spelling mistakes, poor grammar, plot inconsistencies... essentially, this challenge is a nightmare to a closet perfectionist such as I. In other words: fun, fun, fun! This much fun should be criminal!
Unto the Living Earth
Below are my daily entries for the NANOWRIMO challenge. With luck, they will all be in excess of 1666 words. But you can count on the entries being raw text that has not been massaged and beautified to the extent that I would like it to be, but it is what will come out in a rush. As stated above, expect spelling errors, typos, bad grammar, bad punctuation and things that will give English teachers a heart attack and perfectionists high-blood pressure. I have that under control now, thank you very much.
