This is a Blued Rem 700 vls in 6mm rem. Mark Penrod accurized and rechambered the factory 1:10" barrel to 6mm Penrod which is a 6mm Ackley Improved with the neck-shoulder, and shoulder-case body radii tightened up to make sharper corners. It is also not a real long throated chamber and NOT designed for the heaviest bullets in 6mm. It does shoot the 75 gr V-MAX real well at about 3775 fps, and will handle 80 gr bullets also. This action and barrel are mounted in a Rem PSS/H-S Precision DM stock that has been sanded smooth and painted Grape pearl. The trigger is set at 2 lb.
